No at all coz since there is a website for e-government and there is a way to connect with ppl so no need for twitter at all unless if it was for broadcasting news and surveys. I would say could be an idea yea .

sure; twitter could be added to the existing channels of 'fast' communication such as radio, TV, e-newspapers...

but if it can replace the existing channels of communication is another matter of debate.

so many people are active on twitter; yet the number is not a lot as compared to the figures of TV viewership and radio audience.

as of now, twitter does pose a divide; it keeps out a segment of people who are not net savvy (the older generation)...

who are illiterate or who have defective eyesight...

definitely; twitter is the tool of new age communicaton; theres a big bunch of young people on twitter; the govts should get them involved in political and developmental issues. on other hand, i would also like to comment on your poll question. Interesting one; but how come you didn't give the choise of phone! that's the first option anyone chooses to communicate with govts! emails are rarely responded to and sms is not an ideal option to discuss lengthy and complicated issues. moreover, not all prefer social media! if a problem is not solved on phone, only then would someone go to the govt offices physically.....
